Guesting at SimonSaysStamp Monday Challenges - Week 1

Hi everyone,

I was invited by lovely Lols to guest this March and share five projects throughout the month linked to their Monday Challenges. It's so honored to be as Spotlight Guest Designer at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week the challenge theme is :

Tag It

Since it is the first Monday of a new month, the team is featuring products by a specific designer/company and this week it is Tim Holtz. You don't have to use their products to join, but it is always fun if you do. I've created a Tim Holtz Etcetera Mini Tag Thickboards this week using Distress Oxide Spray.

To begin, I cut a panel of paper from the Idea-ology WALLFLOWER Paper Stash and adhered it to the tag with matte Distress Collage Medium. Then, I gessoed the entire Tag. I sprayed the tag with Distress Oxide Sprays and used the baby wipes to remove the inks from the tag randomly.

When it dry. I began to add the patterns from the Fragments Stamp Set and I applied a layer of  Crackle Paste to the edges of the Tag. When they were dried and crackled, I blended on some Walnut Distress Stain and Distress Crayon into the cracks with a damp finger.

I used a Blender Brush to add Distress Inks over the Lace Baseboard Frames surface and used a Blending Tool to distress the edge. To create the ribbon I like to use the Distress Stains. I sprayed the white ribbon with water, then added the colors, and dried between the layers of color with my heat tool. I simply gather the ribbon together to create 4 or 5 loops on either side and leave a good length on the ends. Then I cut an additional piece of ribbon and tie it in the middle to create the bow.

I adhered all the background parts with Distress Collage Matte Medium then let it dry and set overnight. The next day I began arranging all the additional parts.

I applied white paint to the back of  Transparent Wings and adhered to the back of Baseboard Dolls. I adhered Adornments Floral and the doll to the frame, pearls inside the frame and a Quote Chips to the bottom of the tag. Then, the tag was complete.
