Hi everyone,
Welcome to my second post and project as a spotlighted guest at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges this March! I am so honored to be invited to guest with them this month and this week's theme is :
A Bit O'Green (St Patrick's Day)
I made a lucky card for my daughter. I started on the background. I used the Wrinkle-Free Technique to make the background. It's so fun.
First, I swiped the Distress inks across the non-stick surface, by lying felt to surface and wipe randomly across. Misted the inks with water until small beads form. Lay the paper into the watered ink to pick up color. Slightly to twist and turn the paper. Take the paper out of ink. Used heat tool to dry the paper. Added more color to the paper by placing it in ink again. To dry paper once again with heat tool. I stamped the background with Papillon, The Professor Stamp set using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad, but I stamped the professor's suit with Shady Lane and Green Oasis. Then, I colored his face with a Distress Marker. Finally, I distressed and stitched the edge and the background was completed.
I stamped the professor's hat on white cardstock with Shady Lane and Green Oasis. Cut the hat down and adhered to the panel. I die-cut the sentiment with Word Thinlits Die and distress it. Used Brad Screws to secure the word to the bottom of the card. I punched the shamrocks and adhered to the card. I added the clock hands to the hat as the finishing touch.
Don't forget, if you would like to see more inspiration from the talented teamies over on the challenge blog and every week, one lucky random participant has the chance to win a $50 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp and you can join in up to 5 times, which means you could have 5 chances to win. Good Luck to everyone! You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,
Ann
