LET'S CELEBRATE

Guesting at SimonSaysStamp Monday Challenges - Week 3

 

Hi everyone, welcome to my third appearance over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. It's so honored to be a Spotlight Guest Designer. This week the challenge theme is :

Add Some Texture 

I created a project about curiosity this week. I feel that constant exploration and curiosity are the keys to inspiration. Hope you like it.

I love the Sizzix 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder Typewriter so much. I also used Tim Holtz Sizzix THE COUNT Colorize Thinlits Dies, Laboratory Thinlits Dies, Distress Oxide Spray, and Distress Spray Stain to make this project.

For the background., I began with the Distress Spray Stain and Distress Oxide Spray. I sprayed some water on the watercolor paper. Then sprayed Walnut Stain, Pumice stone, Weathered Wood Spray Stain,  Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans Oxide Spray, and a little Brushed Pewter Spray Stain. When it dry, stamped randomly with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps-Grunged. 

I dry embossed the foil cardstock using Tim Holtz Sizzix TYPEWRITER 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder. Apply black acrylic paint to the panel with a sponge, wait about five minutes, and wipe off some of the paint with a dry paper towel. I tore it into pieces, adhere the pieces to the background, and splash the Dina Wakley Ranger WHITE Media Gloss Spray on the background. At the very end, I took a Black color and outlined the very edge to bring an even darker line.

The next steps are very healing. I die-cut a lot of different papers to assemble The Count and Laboratory bottles. In the process of assembling The Count and Laboratory bottles, I am focused and feel like time flies by quickly. I think The Count that I made is a researcher in the laboratory. Always stay curious about things and keep exploring and experimenting.
