The Story Teller - Art Journal

Hi everyone, welcome to my second post and project as a spotlighted guest at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges this month. This week, the challenge theme is :

Let's Art Journal

I've been obsessed with Steampunk Kids Clipart lately, so I made an art journal in that style. 

I used Tim Holtz idea-ology Backdrops Volume 4 f or collage and applied Distress Collage Medium to glue the paper onto the journal, which had been painted with Gesso. I sprayed Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Spray randomly. Then I added some Tim Holtz idea-ology Clippings Sticker Book th94030 to the page and painted the edges of each small piece of paper using Distress Crayon. I stamped randomly using AALL & Create - A4 - Clear Stamps - 142 - Edison Game. Finally, I added the Steampunk Kids Clipart images. Spritz with white and black acrylic paint, and it's done. I hope you like it.

Hi everyone, I was invited by lovely Lols to guest this August and share four projects throughout the month linked to their Monday Challenges. It's so honored to be a Spotlight Guest Designer at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week, we'll invite you all to the 15th Birthday Celebration!!

Wow! This challenge has been for 15 years! I can’t believe that I have participated in this challenge for 13 years. Learning from the talented designers here is my greatest reward and joy. 

Since it is the first Monday of a new month, the team is featuring products by a specific designer/company, and this week it is AALL & Create. You don't have to use their products to join, but it is always fun if you do. I've created a card this week. Hope you like it.

For the images, I used the AALL & Create COFFEE TIME A7 Clear Stamp Set and Border Stamp Set - Purrfect Gift. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker for coloring and cut out the images.

For the background,  I apply Distress Texture Paste through the AALL & Create Stencils Circuit and Rota Vitae randomly. When it was dried, I sprayed Distress Spray Stain Weathered Wood, Speckled Egg, and Tumbled Glass all over it. When it was dry, I used the AALL & Create Eclectic Silhouette stamp set to stamp "15" on the right-hand side to celebrate the Monday Challenge's 15th anniversary. I hope you like it.

express yourself with ART

This is the new challenge at More Than Words. We have one main theme to inspire you and this month it's about Art Supplies.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with...have fun everyone & happy creating!

I used Palette Collage Paper by Tim and Brushes and Carte Postale stamp sets by AALL & CREATE to make this Art Journal page. I always think there is no right or wrong in art, just "Express yourself with art".

HOME

Hi everyone， This is the new challenge at More Than Words. We have simplified the challenges this year and the challenge no longer has two parts. Instead, we have one main theme to inspire you and this month it's about Home.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with...have fun everyone & happy creating!

I like the quote that I saw in the stamp sets. "There's no place like home, home is where the love is." and "A home is built with love and dreams." I show home love with the Handwritten Heart stamp by Dina Wakley.

I cut a few house shapes from wrinkle-free distress papers in my stash, then used a black pen to draw the outline, and stamped randomly. The small houses look so cute.

I place the stencil over the art journal and blend Distress Ink through the stencil. 

I doodle on the edge of the art journal. Draw some trees and stamp some flowers on the bottom.
