Hi everyone, welcome to my second post and project as a spotlighted guest at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges this month. This week the challenge theme is :

Get Lucky

I created a card using Tim Holtz Sizzix TREE RINGS 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder for the backgrounds. I also used Tim Holtz Sizzix LUCKY LOVE 3D Impresslits Cut and Emboss Folder and BOLD TEXT 2 Thinlits Dies as the main point.

I started by creating the background for my card. I embossed a piece of kraft cardstock with the Tree Rings 3D embossing folder. I simply added ground espresso distress ink to the top of the embossed tree ring.

I swipe the inks across the non-stick surface, then mist the inks with water until small beads form. Lay the watercolor paper into the watered ink to pick up color. Let it dry. I used this watercolour paper for my clover leaves and cut 10 separate leaves for this piece.

I then inked the edges with some Walnut Stain and added a touch of Treasure Brass Gilt wax from Connoisseur Studio, just rubbing it gently over the surface to accentuate the detail.

I die-cut Lucky Is A State Of Mind from brown cardstock and trimmed it to create a template. I embossed the template with the Lumber 3D embossing folder. I used a DISTRESS EMBOSSING PEN to draw on the edges of the letters and then embossed them with gold embossing powder.
