Hi everyone, welcome to my last post and project as a spotlighted guest at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges this month. I am so honored to be invited to guest with them this month and I would like to say a huge "thank you for inviting me" and let you know how much fun it was to be part of an amazing design team! I really enjoyed it! This week the challenge theme is :

Make Your Mark

I created a card using Tim Holtz Flip Top Distress Paint for the background. I  stamped the image using Dina Wakley Media Stamp Collaged Girls and cut a frame and drew the edge. I also used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Transparent Layers, and Palette Collage Paper. I really love them.

Don't forget, if you would like to see more inspiration from the talented teamies over on the challenge blog and every week, one lucky random participant has the chance to win a $25 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp and you can join in up to 5 times, which means you could have 5 chances to win. Good Luck to everyone! You have until Monday at 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a nice day!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,

Ann

OWN YOUR DREAMS

Hi everyone, welcome to my third appearance over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. It's so honored to be a Spotlight Guest Designer. This week the challenge theme is :

Rainbow

I created a card using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil FALLING STARS, Flip Top Distress Paint BLACK SOOT for the backgrounds. I also used Panpastel and some Tim Holtz's stamp sets(see the supplies) to make the rainbow fishtails. I love these colorful fishtails overlapping. Hope you like it.

I started by creating the background for my card. I  placed the stencil on the cardstock, scoop a little of the gesso onto the card and then scrape the gesso across the stencil. Carefully lift off the stencil. Let it dry. I paint all over it with black acrylic paint. When it was dry enough, I sanded the surface lightly with sandpaper to remove some of the acrylic paint, then used the sponge to add some color with PanPastel.

For the fishtails, I stamped some images using VersaMark ink. Using a light circular motion with the sponge, add PanPastel onto the card then the stamped image appears. I used seven different colors. Spray with a workable fixative. When it dries, cut it with a fishtail die-cut.

I stamped the butterfly images and die-cut the butterfly and added the die-cut bodies. I made the butterfly's antennae out of thin black metallic wire. Finally, I dyed the ribbon with a Walnut Stain ink pad.
