Today is the start of a new challenge over at A Vintage Journey. Lovely Annie is hosting this month's challenge and her chosen theme is 'Inky Wings' and Annie says 'Make any project you like as long as ink and wings are included in some way. This includes backgrounds, stamped images, art journals, and portions of your project coloured with ink. Any kind of ink is welcome, so let's get creative within our preferred styles of vintage, shabby, mixed media, art journaling, industrial, timeworn or steampunk.' I've created a wrapped journal for Annie's fabulous theme.
My daughter likes to make desserts. She likes to design her own dessert style. I made a wrapped journal as her birthday present so she can draw the dessert of the design. Hope she like it.
Start by adhering the tissue paper to the thick card stock with Collage Medium. (I don't know why I used crazing???)
When it dry, die-cutting the Wrapped Journal from thick card stock.
Sealed the edge with gold embossing powder.
Distressed the Lace Baseboard Frames with Antique Linen and Metallique Wax.
Die-cut the butterfly and color it.
I used the wrinkle-free technique to make the background. All Distress Oxides, no Inks to start with. There're pumice stone and vintage photo in the mix.
When the watercolor paper dry enough, I stamped Handwritten correspondence on it and butterfly by Distress Ink hickory smoke.
Added a Magnetic Closure to the Wrapped Journal.
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a nice day!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,
Ann
