Guesting at SimonSaysStamp Monday Challenges - Week 2

Hi everyone, welcome to my second post and project as a spotlighted guest at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges this month. This week the challenge theme is :

Alcohol, Drinks and/or Inks

I created a birthday card for my best friend this week. Hope you like it.

For the cocktail image, I created the ombre look using Tim Holtz Distress InksI used a watercolor brush to apply all of the ink. I really love the ombre look.

For the background, I add a layer of alcohol inks to the Yupo using a variety of alcohol inks, 99% alcohol and blending solution. Use a rubber air bulb to push the ink and mix the ink with alcohol and blending solution, this will move the ink around the page. When it dry, spray alcohol throughout the piece to create visual interest and texture within the ink, keeping the dots small and fairly close together.

Die-cut the flower from Kraft Stock and gently inked the edges of the petals with Walnut Stain Distress Ink

Die-cut the tropical leaves, using the Monoprint background from my stash and gently inked the edges of the petals with Walnut Stain Distress Ink

During this difficult time, hope this tropical card does bring my best friend warm, pleasant birthday wishes.

Don't forget, if you would like to see more inspiration from the talented teamies over on the challenge blog and every week, one lucky random participant has the chance to win a $25 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp and you can join in up to 5 times, which means you could have 5 chances to win. Guesting at SimonSaysStamp Monday Challenges - Week 1

Hi everyone, I was invited by lovely Lols to guest this May and share five projects throughout the month linked to their Monday Challenges. It's so honored to be as Spotlight Guest Designer at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week the challenge theme is :

Masculine

Since it is the first Monday of a new month, the team is featuring products by a specific designer/company and this week it is Tim Holtz. You don't have to use their products to join, but it is always fun if you do. I've created a card this week. Hope you like it.

To begin, I sprayed the watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Spray Stain in antique linen, prize ribbon, and vintage photo. When it dry. I dry embossing it with Tim Holtz Sizzix TYPEWRITER 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder and lightly run the Clear Ink pad over the raised part of the embossed watercolor paper. Then, dust Gold Embossing Powder over the embossed watercolor paper. Some of the powder will stick to the debossed (non-raised) parts of the paper, use a small dry paintbrush to dust some of it away in those sections. Heat embossing the remaining embossing powder. The letters will pop up.

I sprayed the watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Sprays in antique linen and vintage photo. When it dry. Die-cut the pannel with Sizzix Thinlits Die Set Stitched Rectangles by Tim Holtz and stamped it with MINI GLITCH

I painted the cardboard sheets in my stash using Distress Crayons. I used a Baseboard Doll for the focus  and painted it with Copic Markers

Don't forget, if you would like to see more inspiration from the talented teamies over on the challenge blog and every week, one lucky random participant has the chance to win a $25 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp and you can join in up to 5 times, which means you could have 5 chances to win. Good Luck to everyone! You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a nice day!
Until Next Time,
Hugs & Love,

Ann
