Winter Love

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year!!
It is January 1 and it is time to share a new challenge at the MIXED MEDIA MOJO CHALLENGES. The theme this month is Winter with the added twist : Snowflake. Please join us and share with all your crafty friends!

This is my project. Hope you like it! 

I've got a quick tutorial for you on how I made my project. Enjoy!

Step 1 : I started by applying a thin layer of gesso to the canvas.

Step 2: I added some texture with Molding Paste through a stencil.

Step 3 : Die-cut Snowflakes and heat embossing with WOW! Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder. Sorry, I can't show you the sparkle via camera.

Step 4 : Time to add some colour. Spraying Blue Ink Spray on the canvas.

Step 5 : Added some strips of old book paper.

Step 6 : Distress the edge with Archival Ink Pads.

CHRISTMAS DAY tutorial

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by today.
I've got a quick tutorial for you on how I made my project for our current challenge : Winter Fun with the added twist Snowmen. Enjoy!

This is what my project looked like:

Step 1 : I made some homemade Glitter Paste with Ranger TEXTURE PASTE TRANSPARENT GLOSS and gold glitter.

Step 2 : Take the FESTIVE stencil and place over the card stock. Blob some texture paste and scrape across the stencil with a palette knife. If you scrape firmly you will get a thinner layer. If you layer it thickly and lift gently you get a lovely thick design. Wash or thoroughly wipe the stencil right away so the texture paste doesn’t dry on it and wreck it.

Step 3 : Spray a small amount of two inks onto the cardstock. 

Step 4 : Die-Cut Snowman with different colors of paper. Painting with Aleene's TRUE SNOW Paint.

Step 5 : Stamped the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Stamp and place it on top of panel and sew pieces together along all four sides.
