Alcohol, Drinks and/or Inks
I created a birthday card for my best friend this week. Hope you like it.
For the background, I add a layer of alcohol inks to the Yupo using a variety of alcohol inks, 99% alcohol and blending solution. Use a rubber air bulb to push the ink and mix the ink with alcohol and blending solution, this will move the ink around the page. When it dry, spray alcohol throughout the piece to create visual interest and texture within the ink, keeping the dots small and fairly close together.
Die-cut the flower from
Kraft Stock and gently inked the edges of the petals with
Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
Die-cut the tropical leaves, using the Monoprint background from my stash and gently inked the edges of the petals with
Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
During this difficult time, hope this tropical card does bring my best friend warm, pleasant birthday wishes.
