Back To School

Hi everyone,
Today it is my great honor to be a guest at Mixed Media Mojo for their September BACK TO SCHOOL Challenge.

Sticking old book paper on tag randomly with Gel Medium. 

 

I used a stencil and texture paste to make my background.

 Then used some Acrylic Paints to add some color. Using baby wipes to wipe paints on texture paste.

I coloring the books image with Distress Ink and watercolor pen. For the finishing touch, I sticked the old pencil and the metal embellishments.

I using image Leyla provided by Pink Gem Designs. I’ve used Infusion Color Stains from PaperArtsy for all my background color.  Infusions are a dry powder which also have walnut stain pigment mixed in so everything comes out looking distressed and old, yet colorful. To begin I painted gesso on to my tag, sprinkled a little bit of the powder then spritz of water.  I overlapped my color while everything was wet and let the colors blend. When it dry completely. I used Multi Medium Matte to transfer the image onto the tag.
